1. Drink lots of water.
2. Throw away your kitchen sponge after two weeks—tops. Those things are full of bacteria.
3. Don’t keep secrets; they will haunt you.
4. It’s true, there really is no substitute for hard work.
5. Read the bible.
6. Spending time in nature is in fact good for your soul.
7. Be a good listener. BE A GOOD LISTENER!
8. Sit down and eat your meals together as a family.
9. Don’t accumulate too much “stuff”, it will surely weigh you down.
10. Loving someone through their pain is everything.
11. There will be those rare times when you can’t tell the whole truth, but don’t lie, and yes, there is a difference.
12. Don’t forget to floss.
13. In every situation, you’ve always got a choice to make.
14. At least once a day do something nice and unexpected for someone.
15. Keep a bowl full of fresh fruit in your house.
16. Be careful with “things” you use to take the edge off— you may lose your edge completely.
17. Yes, occasionally you do need to clean the outside of the garbage can, under the toaster, the inside of the washing machine, the top of the refrigerator, etc.
18. The only time you should be yelling is for a safety reason, or when you’re cheering someone on.
19. Make your bed every morning.

21. It doesn’t matter what others are doing; set your own standards and live by them.

25. Buy candles that smell good and light them when its chilly outside.

44. Make a habit of reflecting. When the weather is nice go for a drive by yourself somewhere lovely. Roll your windows down, turn the music up, and think of all the things you have to be grateful for.
45. Slice lemon and put in it your water, use the pretty bowls, buy lip balm that smells like coconuts or green apples, wash your sheets once a week, spray your pillows with lavender spritz, put lotion on your feet, make snacks before the movie starts…all those little things make life more fun!
46. Gifts can be great, but homemade cards are a wonderful gesture.
47. Don’t worry too much about what others think—If you’re acting with integrity, just let it go.
48. You ALWAYS know what the right thing is, so do it.
